The Factory String Band under the direction of Liam Bailey is a semester-long ensemble that explores North American Contra and Square-dance music! This ensemble will incorporate and develop a manageable repertoire of American fiddle tunes in preparation for a proper contra dance to be held at Hart Square. This ensemble is suitable for most beginners and ALL intermediate players. Appropriate instrumentation will include but will not be limited to, fiddle, flute, whistle, guitar, banjo, mandolin and acoustic bass.

Cost for the 10 week semester is $100 for HMF students and $125 for non-students. We never want money to be the reason why someone can’t participate in our programs.
