With a solid foundation of musical knowledge your skills can be crafted into becoming a strong worship leader in your church or in a church seeking to hire a musician. Hickory Music Factory’s Praise Team ensemble will offer opportunity to play in a group setting, learn how to plan out worship services for different denominations, and how to obtain the resources to take leadership rolls. The musicians will be taught many key elements to playing church music and will get the chance to play various songs each week. We will go through intros and outros, transitioning between songs in the same key or different key, and the importance of improvisation. This ensemble will be led by Sarah Goodson, the Worship leader at the Chapel Church in Hickory. Sarah has been a church musician for 8 years and has experience with many different churches. This group is open to vocalists, guitarists, pianists, bassists, and percussionists of any age. The class is $125 for HMF students and $150 to non-students.
