“Roots To Rock”, A Timeline Of African American Music, will be a concert presented by Hickory Music Factory educators to Catawba County k-12 underserved populations along with the general public, at no cost to the organizations, or students.

The concert will feature educational themes, from early African music to rock n roll, that will include a musical performance and demonstration of that style on the musical timeline, along with a brief history of its culmination. 

The “Roots To Rock” program will take place at the Broyhill Civic Center, in Lenoir, NC on Thursday, Feb 1 and Drendel Auditorium at the SALT Block in Hickory, NC on Friday, February 2. Both performances will begin at 7pm.
