This program, facilitated by Matt Decker, provides a real world experience for the dedicated young percussionist. Each day will include a clinic and rehearsal that culminates in a live performance of one classical and one contemporary percussion ensemble piece. The purpose of this program is to bring a better understanding of the musical versatility required for all disciplines of the percussive arts. Participants need to have an understanding of reading basic music notation. There will be a performance at 7:30pm on July 21st at the Hickory Music Factory.
